VRmagic, which is based in Mannheim Germany, is offering USB-powered frame grabbers for applications with NTSC- or PAL-cameras. The light-weight external components can be controlled using the API of VRmagic's software development kit.
The frame grabbers are available with casing or as an OEM component. The product line covers basic models as well as FPGA-versions with USB 2.0 or USB 1.x interface. All models feature timestamps and frame counter, and up to nine user-configurations can be stored on the converter.
VRmagic's FPGA-frame grabbers are equipped with an internal 64MB ringbuffer to prevent loss of image data and to optimise the use of bandwidth when operating multiple USB components. For OEM-customers image processing functions can be integrated. Cable lengths of up to 150 feet are available, as well as data transmission via non high-frequency compliant interfaces.
The VRmagic Software Development Kit is compatible with Windows operating systems and Linux. Demo functions and free source code for several developing platforms are included.
