Vision Components has refined its intelligent camera model VC nano cube, integrating a protective IP65 enclosure to house the remote camera head and a 12mm S-Mount lens. Eight high-power LEDs were also added. This design is ideally suited for applications with limited installation space and demanding environments where dust, dirt, or humidity occurs. Available as a stainless steel and as an aluminium model, the protective housing can be installed quickly and easily thanks to an M30 thread.
The VC nano tube provides 32MB Flash and 128MB DDRAM memory capacity. Its 700MHz processor has a computing power of 5,600 MIPS. Like all intelligent cameras from Vision Components, the VC nano tube executes all image processing routines without an additional PC. An Ethernet interface and an optional RS232 interface enable integration into automation environments. The camera is equipped with a global shutter CMOS sensor providing high-quality images even in fast applications. At a frame rate of 55fps, the camera records images with a 752 x 480 pixel resolution.
