Vitronic has introduced Vinspec Solar, an inline camera system for front side inspection of multi- and mono-crystalline solar cells. The system combines colour and print inspection, has a small footprint and is less expensive than comparable two system solutions.
The heart of the system is a high resolution colour line scan camera that delivers 64 Megapixel image information. The line scan camera is comprises of four separate lines for red, green, blue, and black and white, each with a resolution of 40µm. The result of the high sensitivity combined with an optimally contrasting LED illumination unit secures superior print quality and colour classification. Colour, surface, edge irregularities and geometrical properties on solar cells are inspected. The inspection system can be integrated easily into solar cell production lines.
