The new XC USB 3.0 industrial camera from IDS delivers excellent, high-resolution images every time, even in varying ambient conditions. The latest in the successful X camera series from IDS, the new XC, has numerous automatic features including autofocus; 16x digital zoom; face detection and backlight compensation, bringing the convenience of commercial digital cameras to professional vision applications.
The 13 MPixel XC camera delivers individual images with a resolution of 4192 x 3104 or 4128 x 3096 pixels or live recordings of different sizes up to full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) with a maximum frame rate of 30 frames/sec. The robust housing with compact dimensions (32 x 61 x 19 mm) and screw-on USB connector make the camera 100% suitable for both industrial and non-industrial use. Unlike consumer cameras, the XC is designed to be available over the long term.
With its numerous automatic features, hardly any manual adjustment of settings is required. The camera is ideal for use in varying lighting conditions or for dynamic shooting situations. These include non-industrial applications in particular, such as medical technology, kiosk systems, transportation and logistics, or the virtual and augmented reality environment. The camera also opens up new opportunities in process monitoring or inline quality testing.
The XC is supplied with the IDS Software Suite or as a driver-independent UVC version (USB Video Class). The IDS Software Suite allows all the camera parameters to be configured individually and makes integration easy.
