Xenics is aiming to make the integration of infrared imaging into machine vision applications easier with the introduction of a common GigE/Camera Link/CoaXPress modular platform for its infrared cameras. The cameras are available from Stemmer Imaging.
The cameras can be used for applications such as inspection, identifying and measuring parts, pick-and-place and assembly, high-speed sorting, failure analysis and hot-spot detection.
The interface module provides a standard interface for a wide range of Xenics camera families, covering the full IR wavelength range from SWIR to LWIR - including thermography.
The module can be connected to a GigE (with and without PoE), Camera Link or CoaXPress interface, or standard analogue video (PAL or NTSC). This approach brings modularity and flexibility and easy integration for industrial use, and also traffic control and medical applications.
