Z-Laser has expanded its ZM12 industrial laser modules to support a wider range of optics. By adding an extra optic head with an optional focus ring mechanism, the user can adjust the laser easily.
The laser has an excellent price-performance ratio and compact M12 laser thread housing. It is an ideal entry-level product for positioning and profiling in machine vision applications. With IP67 protection class, it is resistant to water and dust.
The basic model with the optic head has a length of 85mm and a diameter of 15mm. With the external focus mechanism it is easier to change the beam shape manually. The laser is only 63mm long with an integrated cable (ZM12DM5). The device is available with red and infrared wavelengths, optical output up to 100mW as well as a modulation option of up to 100kHz. These properties mean the laser can be synchronised easily with a camera system. The laser intensity can be set via pulse-width modulation.
