Matrox Imaging, based in Montreal, has appointed CRI Jolanta as distributor of Matrox’s hardware and software components in Poland. Poland joined the EU in 2004, and has subsequently experienced a strengthened economy, and with it, an imminent technological boom. Jan Friedrich, UK territory manager for Matrox imaging, explained: ‘Poland’s transition from a post-Soviet economy to a free-market economy stands out as one of the regions most successful business stories. Maintaining a local presence in Poland is therefore a logical step, especially since machine vision use continues to increase on a global scale.’
