Stemmer Imaging has become a distributor for the European market for the range of machine vision illumination systems from US supplier, Smart Vision Lights (SVL). SVL manufactures high current LED machine vision lights, with an intelligent driver in every light.
SVL’s portfolio includes LED spot and line lights, backlights and ringlights, and models with diffuse light. Smart driver technology provides a constant current to every light allowing operation in continuous or strobe mode. This provides particularly easy integration into the Stemmer Imaging range of Boa smart cameras from Teledyne Dalsa.

By validating each component we allow the user to develop solutions without worrying about the technology, so the excellent compatibility of the Smart Vision Light range with other products we offer was an important consideration.’
SVL’s OverDrive range of LEDs feature SafeStrobe technology, which applies safe working parameters to ensure the LEDs are not damaged by driving them beyond their limits. The OverDrive series provides repeatable intensity control and pulsing by using a microprocessor to watch and control the power to the LEDs for safe operation.
Models with ratings up to IP68 as well as lights that offer structured light for triangulation applications are also available.
