Specialised for automotive manufacture, Aicon’s engineers have developed the DPA welded studs measuring system: an efficient solution for the determination of position of welded studs in vehicle body framework in relation to the CAD reference data.
The measurements are performed with a hand-held camera. Afterwards, the images taken are analysed automatically. The results show the actual position as well as the deviation to the nominal data of the welded studs in the vehicle coordinate system. The graphical analysis is easy to understand, with coloured labels showing where tolerances have been exceeded. Customisation to other types of welded studs is possible.
