The first ‚Control Vision Talks‘ forum at the 30. Control - International trade fair for quality assurance from 26 – 29 April in Stuttgart became a success story. More than 50 speakers presented topics on applied machine vision and optical metrology for quality assurance during all four show days at the lecture forum which was set up under the expert guidance of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA).
The attendance of the trade show visitors filling the auditorium exceeded all expectations; a fact that is well received also by the trade show organizer: "The largest contingent of exhibitors at Control 2016 came from the machine vision industry. Thus, the first lecture forum ‘Control Vision Talks’ has made the various potentials of image processing technology in quality control even more tangible. The forum co-organized by the EMVA was extremely well attended which proves that we found the right format to address the visitors", says Bettina Schall, Managing Director of the trade show organizer P.E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG.
Also the companies contributing with presentations confirm the successful debut of the Control Vision Talks: „Via the Control Vision Talks we were able to inform trade show visitors even better about the technical opportunities of hyperspectral imaging. The high number of attendees, who came especially for our talk, and the subsequent conversations with customers about tangible applications reflected the relevance of this subject to quality inspection“, says Jürgen Hillmann, COO of Ximea.
Also LMI Technologies was very satisfied: “We were thrilled to have our CEO, Terry Arden, share our revolutionary Gocator 3D smart inspection platform at the first Control Vision Talks. EMVA did an excellent job organizing and hosting the very well-attended event free of charge for attendees and businesses”, confirms Marketing Manager Achim Klor.
„From my point of view, the Control Vision Talks during the show have been a big success”, says Jörg Schmitz, Sales Vision Solutions at STEMMER IMAGING. “My presentation on the recently introduced hyperspectral imaging systems from STEMMER IMAGING was very well attended and the high number of questions raised by the participants after the presentation shows the variety of application areas for this innovative technology.”
“The time and session allocated were quite adequate and appropriate. Many of the follow-up detailed discussions with members of the audience happened later, when they visited our booth” states Shyam Keshavmurthy, Chief Engineer at Perceptron.
Following the big impact of the first ‘Control Vision Talks’ the EMVA together with the trade show organizer and the media partner aim to continue this new lecture forum at the 31. Control taking place from 09 – 12 May 2017.
