AutoVimation has introduced the Gecko IP65 protective camera housing designed to effectively handle the heat generated from high performance machine vision cameras.
The mounting technique means the camera is actually cooled by the housing. The 'cam lock system' also allows flexible camera positioning, so that any lens can be placed right behind the housing front window.
The Gecko housing and mounting system kit is now available for Vision Components Smart Cameras and will be adapted to other camera brands during 2009.
