Photonfocus has received the Swiss Excellence Product Award for its powerful high speed cameras at the awards ceremony in Zurich. The Swiss Excellence Foundation honors Swiss SME for outstanding technical and excellent product innovations that create high value with a proven strong market potential.
Photonfocus has been awarded the prestigious „Swiss Excellence Product Award“ for the design and development of a series of high performance cameras basing on a sophisticated technology. The cameras shoot up to 500 frames per second to be transmitted over a small bandwidth in real time. Despite the enormous frame rate, the developers succeeded in achieving a reliable delivery of high image quality and precision.
Photonfocus cameras conquering world football
The unique characteristics of the camera series convinced German based GoalControl to equip its new goal line technology with Photonfocus cameras. Following indepth testing, the integrated system was launched successfully at the Football World Cup 2014 last summer in Brazil. Photonfocus high speed cameras are suited not only for motion control and analysis in sports but have also been applied successfully in other industries like Airborne electronics and along manufacturing processes to execute high speed imaging recording.

The Swiss Excellence Foundation honors outstanding work of innovative and successful SME with its reknown “Swiss Excellence Product Award”. The award supports the development of the high tech industry in Switzerland and stresses the importance of innovative and globally competitive SME for the Swiss economy.
