Baumer has introduced a new generation of its VeriSens web interface, planned for release for the first quarter of 2013. The interface makes it as easy as possible to reconfigure vision sensors. Users can combine application-related parameters in a user configurable menu and these settings can then be adapted at the machine in the subsequent process. Since access is possible across all operational systems via a standard web browser without plug-ins, in general, the browser already installed on the equipment can be used.
Up to 32 different feature checks can be simultaneously run within one job with the VeriSens vision sensors. Up to nine of these features can be selected freely in the web interface and presented to the machine operator for reconfiguration. This reduces procedural complexity and it enables even inexperienced users to perform individual adaptations. The web interface will be available on a cross-series basis for all new VeriSens models of the ID, CS, XF and XC series. An easy software update will allow current users of Baumer vision sensors to benefit from the advantages as well.
