The VLG (volume light grid for logistics) volume measuring system has been released by Framos Imaging Systems. It enables three-dimensional measurement and volume of general cargo to be recorded in real time providing automated integration for use in logistics processes.
In contrast to traditional laser incident light technologies, the VLG is able to measure transparent, matt-black or reflective objects reliably, which is important in areas such as retail or baggage logistics.
Plug-and-play makes the VLG easy to implement in all customer systems without the need for any configuration. It is available in versions with measuring sizes between 50 x 50cm and 3 x 3m, and with resolutions from 2.5 to 10mm.
