The software is designed to make it easier for automation professionals and machine vision integrators to design and field quality-control systems using USB 3.0 compatible machine vision hardware. It can help designers simplify connections and optimise USB 3.0 implementations, including hubs, controllers, and Ximea cameras, firmware updates, and the latest USB 3.0 compliant application programming interfaces for more than 30 of the most common image processing libraries.
Most machine vision system designers who purchase USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 cameras have to search the vendor's knowledge base to discover what hubs, cables, and controllers work best with a given camera. Ximea simplifies this process by packaging the knowledge base into the xiCOP interactive optimisation and diagnostic software program, saving integrators considerable time while saving end users money.
Ximea's xiQ industrial cameras are built to the new USB 3.0 SuperSpeed data interface standard, which delivers up to 5Gb/s of data and enables image transfers of up to 400 Megapixels per second.
