The EyeSens ProfileInspect system from EVT is a system for measuring the dimensions or complete cross-sectional profiles of pipes made of metal, plastics or rubber.
Measuring 140 x 70 x 35mm, the system’s housing includes an intelligent camera and a line laser with 5mW performance for triangulation. The device records images at a scan rate of up to 400Hz. The images are analysed by the camera’s DSP processor which has a computing power of 5,600 MIPS.
The laser triangulation sensor is ideal for continuous monitoring of cross-sectional profiles, such as extrusions at the production of plastic or other semi-liquid materials, as well as foils or hoses of wound on spools.
The command set, which is based on the EyeVision software, ensures that all relevant dimensions such as angles and radii are displayed and the tolerances monitored. Additionally, with the EyeMultiview tool the inspection results can be displayed on up to 16 result-windows on a single monitor.
