Baumer has released the TXG series of Gigabit Ethernet cameras. 13 models with resolutions from VGA to 5 Megapixel in monochrome and colour versions are available. With data transfer rates of up to 1,000Mb/s and cable length of up to 100m, GigE surpasses previous technologies such as FireWire and USB.
The range of functions, the small and rugged design as well as low power consumption, make this camera series suitable for most industrial applications. The cameras are 'plug and play' with the supplied driver software as well as with established image processing solutions. With the generic programming interface, Baumer-GAPI, all Baumer FireWire and Gigabit Ethernet cameras can be controlled on one PC, using the same software, regardless of interface.
